A mother and her 10-year-old son have been rescued from the collapse of a coronavirus quarantine site in southeastern China after being trapped beneath the rubble for 52 hours. There were 71 people inside the hotel in the city of Quanzhou, in southeastern Fujian Province, when the building collapsed on Saturday. The hotel was being used as a quarantine site for those infected with the COVID-19 virus. The new coronavirus first exploded across mainland China last year, where more than 80,000 cases have been confirmed to date.
