KUALA LUMPUR: India Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make brief stopover here during a five day visit to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. In his stopover here on May 31, Modi will meet with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the Ministry of External Affairs India, in a statement, today. The Indian Prime Minister visit to Indonesia between May 29 and 31 and Singapore from May 31 to June 2 is at the invitation of the republic’s president Joko Widodo and the city state’s prime minister Lee Hsien Loong, respectively. In Singapore, the Indian Prime Minister will also deliver the key-note address at the 17th Shangri-la Dialogue. The ministry’s statement also said that the visit would enable the leaders to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
