"What mattered, he stressed, was the well-being of the people.He contrasted this with how the Congress had allegedly behaved with the people.PM Modi also highlighted the state government's efforts at water conservation. "In Gujarat we initiated a mass movement to conserve every drop of water. "The Congress dislikes me because of my poor origins. Yes, I sold tea but I did not sell the nation," he had said at a campaign rally in Rajkot.
