Stocks in Hong Kong recorded modest gains after the US Federal Reserve last night loosened it sstance on inflation. The benchmark Hang Seng Index climbed by 218.91 points to 25,500.06 points as of noon. China Mengniu Dairy (2319) led the blue-chip gains, jumping by 10.7 percent to HK$39.30, followed by AIA (1299) which gained by 3.29 percent at HK$80.05. Tencent (0700), however, slid by 2.06 percent at HK$546.50, becoming the biggest percentage loser among the blue chips. The Hang Seng Tech Index gained by 1.28 percent to 7,637 points, with Meituan Dianping (3690) hitting a record high of HK$274.40 before paring gains.
