All systems go for city-wide coronavirus tests from September 1Online registration for the mass coronavirus tests in Hong Kong will open on Tuesday, September 1, the Secretary for the Civil Service, Patrick Nip, said today. Testing will go on for seven days initially from 8:00 am to 8:pm, and depending on the progress, it will be extended by no more than seven days to September 14. Citizens have to show staff their personal identification document and the booking prior to the testing. Their nasal and throat samples will be taken. Samples will be collected 1 to 2cm into their nostrils as well as on throat by medical staff.
