Galina Fedorova and Yev Taranovs were on a photoshoot in SardiniaItalian police investigating the death of a Russian model who drowned during a boat trip with a British photographer are treating it as a “tragic accident”. Galina Fedorova, 32, a Playboy model, died after swimming from a rented dinghy during a photoshoot with Yev Taranovs, a Latvian-born photographer with UK citizenship, near a Nato base in Sardinia. Taranovs, 42, joined the model for a swim just as the inflatable was swept away by currents. He was picked up by tourists after surviving for more than an hour in the water. Fedorova was later found floating unconscious by a second group of tourists who pulled her on board their boat and tried to revive her.
