Mobile phone operators on Sunday reduced the bandwidth of mobile internet services for 30 minutes as per the instruction of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to prevent the leak of SSC exam question papers. An official from BTRC, seeking anonymity, said mobile operators were asked to curb bandwidth from 10am till 11am. Chief Technology Officer of International Internet Gateway (IIG) [email protected] Suman Ahmed Sabir said around 9:30am the mobile internet speed started going down and remained low for half an hour. The authorities have failed to prevent the leak of SSC exam question papers, despite stringent measures. On Saturday, Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained 14 people from different areas of Dhaka for their alleged involvement with SSC question paper leak.
