Mission Woman Arrested In Auto-Pedestrian Fatality In Downtown McAllen – 710am KURV


A Mission woman is facing charges in the death of another woman she hit with her vehicle in downtown McAllen. Police say 43-year-old Brenda Belmontes was walking in the 500 block of South 15th Street at around 2:30 Sunday morning when she was struck. She died of her injuries at the hospital. Police are holding 19-year-old Sorely Lizeth Nino on, as yet, unspecified charges.
