Missing glass panel leaves gaping hole in transit shelter: The Fixer

For those who observe transit shelters with detached bemusement from the cozy confines of a vehicle, its value is often underestimated, if not entirely dismissed. A transit shelter that is one large glass panel short is not much good when the winds of November come howling. A Google Street View image shows that the glass wall was missing back in July. But with the weather changing to cold and snow, it is unlikely to be switched out for a new one until next spring, which makes replacement of the missing panel a necessity. STATUS: The reason Romanada couldn’t find anything on the TTC website about shelters or reporting damage to them is that the city’s street furniture division is responsible for them.
