The lifeless body of Benedicta Gyane Afofie, a teacher at Amantin Roman Catholic Junior High School was retrieved from the Volta Lake in Yeji in the Pru East District. Details surroundings her death still remain sketchy but Ghanaweb sources reveal that her lifeless body was retrieved by divers this afternoon after she reportedly drowned in the lake. Police sources in Yeji reveal that they have launched investigations into the matter whilst plans are underway to have her buried right away due to the decomposed nature of the body. Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased is said to be in distraught following the untimely and mysterious demise of her daughter.
