Police are investigating an incident in which a 71-year-old woman who had been missing in a village in Nyandarua was found murdered and her body inside a sack with a huge stone. The body of Lucy Muthoni Niema was found in Kigumo river on Monday, nearly a week after she had been reported missing on June 14. The stone was apparently meant to stop the body from floating in the river. It is suspected she was murdered elsewhere, stashed in the bag together with the stone and the body delivered to the river. In Mogotio, Baringo county, a primary school teacher was killed in a domestic fight in her house.
