MIRI: An abduction case that happened at a Miri shopping mall was captured on a handphone, leading to the arrests of a group of suspects early Wednesday (Aug 19). The incident happened on Tuesday (Aug 18) around 5pm at the shopping centre located along Jln Bintang in the city centre. On Wednesday, a police swoop in the wee hours led to the arrest of five youths in a hotel. Miri police chief Asst Comm Lim Meng Seah told reporters the abduction case could be linked to some business issues. The suspects are being remanded and being probed for abduction, he added.
