JOHOR BARU: Couples are opting to have simpler weddings with fewer guests under the recovery movement control order (MCO) as a way to prevent another cluster of Covid-19. “Although we are allowed to have more guests at weddings as long as we ensure there is physical distancing, I prefer not to take the risk. According to make-up artist Abdul Hakim Azmi, 25, the number of people getting married increased slightly since July. “Most brides are opting for simpler weddings and are also choosing not to have make-up artists to save costs. “Although the number of couples getting hitched has now increased compared to during the conditional MCO period, it is still lower compared to before the MCO.
