Egypt is considering the establishment of an investment fund to provide sustainable and innovative financing for the country’s sports talent, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid said. Farid met with Youth and Sports Minister Gohar Nabil to discuss utilising investment fund models to support and qualify promising athletes for regional and international competition. Nabil emphasised that the fund would specifically support individual sports, helping Egyptian athletes achieve results in international forums. The ministry is working with various state entities to maximise resources and “open new horizons for sports investment,” Nabil said. Also in attendance were Mostafa Magdy, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports for Strategic Affairs, and Abdullah El-Bahar, the Minister’s Assistant for Marketing and Investment, alongside other ministry officials.
