The minister told the researchers to use modern equipment available in labs to innovate ways to become more efficient and keep pace with other developed countries, and shun age-old habits. The world is not as it was 10 years ago and the time has come for them to show their skills, he said. The minister made the remarks on Thursday while inaugurating a three-day science fair at the Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) in Dhaka. “To enhance our working power as well as compete with the world, we have to use technology everywhere” he added. A total of 213 young scientists from different schools, colleges, universities and science clubs across the country are participating in the fair, with 171 projects on display.
