Tarek Kabil, the Minister of Industry and Trade, held a session of bilateral talks with Vladimir Koltovich, the Belarusian trade minister, on the sidelines of the fourth session of the Joint Egyptian Belarusian Commission on Commerce and Trade, which was held in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, according to a press statement on Thursday. The session dealt with the joint efforts between officials of the two countries to develop trade and economic relations, and it saw the discussion of the latest developments of the free trade agreement between Egypt and the Eurasian economic union. Earlier in January, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi signed a joint declaration with his Belarusian counterpart to advance each other’s foreign trade interests in the economic unions the countries belong to. He added that the participation of the Belarusian business community in exhibitions in Egypt is essential, to introduce them to Egyptian products. On the other hand, the Belarusian trade minister pointed out that Egypt is an important political and economic partner of Belarus.
