The Interior Ministry released a statement on Tuesday evening supported by video footage of one of the perpetrators of the recent militant attack against a police patrol in Nasr City. The Interior Ministry believes that this group is managed and financed by the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood group. “Nine Brotherhood members were involved in the planning and execution of the Nasr City attack,” the Interior Ministry statement read. The Interior Ministry supplied video footage of a young man, Mostafa Salem, explaining how the attack was carried out and giving information about the perpetrators. At the end of the video, Hasm claimed that the suspects arrested by the Interior Ministry were not the actual perpetrators of the attack and have no connection to the movement.
