Mikel Arteta's 'stance on taking Arsenal manager's job' as new boss search continues

The Gunners have stepped up their search for a new permanent boss following Unai Emery's sacking and Freddie Ljungberg's poor start as interim. The names on Arsenal's managerial shortlist include former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Massimiliano Allegri and Arteta. The Spaniard was also previously interviewed for the manager's job following Arsene Wenger's departure, but just missed out to Unai Emery. But the Daily Mail is now reporting that it is understood Arteta considers the Arsenal job too good an opportunity to turn down and is a serious contender for the role. "At half-time we said 'This is not Arsenal , we have to give it a crack.'
