The Diss-based company announced yesterday that it had acquired SF Marketing Inc, a Montreal-based distributor of AV technology, in a deal worth £26.7 million. Midwich managing director Stephen Fenby said: “We are delighted to welcome the SFM team to the Midwich Group. The Canadian AV market is important globally, so it was important that we found a high-quality business to partner with. With a heritage in the solution-driven professional audio market, the business operates with high-end market leading brands such as Shure, QSC and Pioneer DJ. In announcing the takeover deal this week, Midwich confirmed it has raised a further £50 million, with six further acquisitions currently in the pipeline.
