The SNP's cash crisis has deepened after it was revealed that the nationalists received just £4,000 in donations in the first three months of 2023. We previously told how the SNP are under investigation by cops over an allegedly missing £600k of independence referendum funds. Now, new figures from the Electoral Commission revealed that this was not achieved in the first three months of the year, with only £4,000 donated. The SNP's donation was minuscule compared to Scottish Labour and the Scottish Lib Dems who received cash totalling more than £200,000. The party also received £2 million from Indian-born textiles tycoon Amit Lohia and another £2 million from party treasurer and businessman Graham Edwards.
