Microsoft, Ola join hands to build new connected vehicle platform

Indian ride-sharing company Ola on Tuesday announced its strategic partnership with Redmond's giant Microsoft for building a new connected vehicle platform for car manufacturers worldwide. Under the new partnership, Ola will use Microsoft's cloud computing service to power the company's existing car platform. The partnership will allow Ola Play riders to use Microsoft's AI, IoT, and productivity tools to enhance the in-car experience. The company says that the new enhanced car platform will be able to assess the fuel efficiency, help in smarter navigation and can also predict breakdowns enhancing the safety and security. "The combination of Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and our AI platform with Ola Play will deliver new customer experiences and business opportunities across the automotive ecosystem."
