The Miami Hurricanes fired offensive coordinator Dan Enos on Friday, one day after the team was shut out by Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl. The Hurricanes wrapped up a 6-7 season with a 14-0 loss on Thursday night, marking the first shutout in the 44-game history of the Independence Bowl. Miami, which averaged 25.7 points per game this season, scored 20 points or fewer in six of 13 contests. Athletic director Blake James tweeted after the game that changes are needed but gave a vote of confidence to head coach Manny Diaz. “Tonight’s game was a disappointing finish to a season that fell well below the high standards of The University of Miami football program,” he wrote.
