Luis Avilan (2-0), the second of the six Mets’ relievers, picked up the win by pitching one inning of hitless relief. The Mets have won three straight games. Jonathan Schoop homered, C. J. Cron had two doubles and Eddie Rosario and Marwin Gonzalez also had two hits apiece for Minnesota. Michael Pineda (6-5) took the loss after allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits over six innings.
