College and university campuses across the state are preparing to welcome a unique class of freshmen this fall. On Thursday, Regis College gave incoming freshmen a chance to explore the campus, ask questions, and break the ice with new classmates before the fall semester begins on Sept. 7. The second part of the day emphasized community-building, with new students having a chance to mingle with and make connections with each other and current Regis students, Yonika said. At Regis, Yonika said the program left college staff feeling invigorated after going many months with a decreased student presence. "It's so refreshing to have the campus feel alive," Yonika said.
