VANCOUVER—SkyTrain workers have voted in favour of a strike. A SkyTrain worker strike is not imminent, as the union representing SkyTrain workers, CUPE local 7000, has not given strike notice. Union members voted 96.8 per cent in favour of a strike, according to a release from the union Thursday. CUPE 7000 represents approximately 900 SkyTrain workers. Metro Vancouver bus drivers announced Wednesday they would walk off the job for three days next week in a complete shutdown of the bus system.
