Meru enters tourism deal with forest trust


Ngarendare Forest Trust vice chairman David Kinyua praised efforts by the Meru government to transform the forest into a tourist destination. The Meru government has entered into a mutual partnership with the Ngarendare Forest Trust to improve tourism. Speaking when he toured the trust yesterday, M’Mithiaru urged the management to invest more resources in the forest run by the local community. Trade and Tourism executive Ntoitha M’Mithiaru urged investors to visit Ngarendare Forest. Ngarendare is a natural forest near Mt Kenya that harbors the longest canopy walk in East Africa.
