The mercury dipped as low as 11.9 degrees Celsius this morning, with the highest temperature being 17 degrees Celsius today. A cold-weather warning and a red fire danger warning -- the highest level of the warning, was hoisted in the meantime. The mercury in Tuen Mun, Yuen long, Sheung Shui and Kowloon City dipped to as low as 11 degrees Celsius today, whereas that in Tai Mo Shan dipped to as low as 2.1 degrees Celsius. The temperature tomorrow will dip to as low as 12 degrees Celsius -- the lowest of next week, as families are gathering together for a hearty dinner on the winter solstice. But the temperature for Tuesday and onwards is expected to warm up, and Sunday will see the highest temperature of the week at 17 degrees Celsius.
