Presidential Council's Head Mohamed Menfi and Deputy Head Moussa Al-Koni met Sunday evening in Tripoli with members of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to discuss proposals aimed at advancing a serious national dialogue between relevant institutions. The meeting focused on ways to bridge differences, break the political deadlock, and create conditions for a comprehensive political settlement that would unify state institutions and lead to elections. Participants also discussed the latest political and economic developments in Libya amid the continuing political stalemate and the challenges it poses for state institutions, according to a statement from Menfi’s media office. The statement emphasized the importance of prioritizing national interest and strengthening cooperation among institutions to overcome the current phase and support efforts aimed at achieving political and economic stability. Menfi proposed holding the talks inside Libya, suggesting Sirte, Benghazi, or Ghadames, with observers from national political parties and the “Quartet” (Arab League, African Union, European Union, Organization of Islamic Cooperation) along with ambassadors from influential countries.
