Men with high testosterone levels are more likely to develop SKIN CANCER, study warns

Men with higher levels of testosterone may be at higher risk of developing skin cancer, a new study has warned. However, the paper also states that for men 'higher total and free testosterone concentrations were associated with an increased risk of malignant melanoma'. Melanoma skin cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK, with about 16,200 people diagnosed each year, the charity said. Dr Eleanor Watts, lead author, said: 'This is the first time a link between testosterone and skin cancer has been seen. The findings come shortly after a study found that having high levels of the hormone testosterone can make men less generous and more likely to exhibit selfish behaviours.
