Men Whose 'Satanic' Killing Convictions Overturned Want Bond

Meade Circuit Judge Bruce Butler scrapped their convictions earlier this month after DNA evidence debunked much of the evidence prosecutors presented to the jury. The Innocence Project, which represented Hardin and Clark, asked Butler to release the two men on bond until a new trial date is set. A Kentucky judge is considering whether two men should be let out of jail after spending more than 20 years in prison before their murder convictions in what prosecutors called a "satanic" killing were vacated. Garr Keith Hardin and Jeffrey Dewayne Clark were convicted in 1995 of killing 19-year-old Rhonda Sue Warford. Butler took the request under consideration and said he will soon issue a written ruling.
