MELAKA: The state government will donate RM10,000 to the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz school, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron. He also urged all Islamic religious school operators to approach the state local authorities to seek advice on the safety compliance of building plans. "So I have called on the Fire and Rescue Department and the Department of Occupational and Safety Health to conduct 'Operasi Pemutihan' and provide a comprehensive report on each tahfiz school in the state. He also urged for all Islamic religious schools in the state here to equip itself with fire extinguishers. "All tahfiz schools must be registered under Jaim and obtain approval from the Fire and Rescue Department under the Fire Services Act 1988 and Uniform Building By-Law 1984," he said.
