Property giant Megaworld Corp.’s first-half reservation sales hit P38 billion as demand for residential properties continued amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. In a disclosure, the Andrew Tan-led firm said their second quarter reservation sales were about P17 billion despite the enhanced community quarantine that followed to stop the spread of Covid-19. It added that provincial properties made up the majority of second quarter sales. Megaworld added they opened showrooms for residential projects with enhanced safety protocols in place. Megaworld shares climbed by 6 centavos or 1.92 percent to close at P3.18 apiece on Tuesday.
