In a statement, MOL President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Junichiro Ikeda said the three MOL Group vessels were the LNG-fueled tugboat Ishin and ferries Sunflower Kurenai and Sunflower Murasaki. The Ishin, the first LNG-fueled ship of MOL, has started building a solid track record as the first LNG-fueled tugboat serving Osaka Bay. MOL promoted the wider use of LNG as a marine fuel, being a forerunner in the trend towards LNG-fueled ships.
