Radhamani Amma, fondly known as Mani Amma , defies age and gender norms in Kerala with her remarkable driving prowess. At 71, she holds 11 diverse licenses, including heavy-duty vehicles like JCBs and cranes. "We established a heavy vehicle driving school after my husband suggested it. I obtained my four-wheeler license in 1981 and then acquired my heavy vehicle license in 1984," she explained. Radhamani highlighted the challenges of obtaining a heavy vehicle license in Kerala at the time and how they eventually established the first heavy vehicle driving school in the state.After her husband's death in 2004, Radhamani faced initial hurdles but persevered, taking charge of the driving school and emerging as a driving community leader.
