Meditrina’s initial vision was to stick on to tier II, tier III cities providing advanced cardiac care and not to focus on major cities since these cities already have all the facilities. Later we decided to extend our advanced cardiac care services to other parts of the country tooOur Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Prathap Kumar always had a vision to provide advanced cardiac care at affordable rates to the needy. We tied up with the ESI Corporation and started the first of its kind cardiac care center in an ESIC in the country in Kollam. We have smaller cardiac care units in Kottarakkara and Palaghat; Palghat being a partly JV model the local partner takes care of some marketing activities. We also have the advantage of giving cardiac care facilities at 50% of the cost of CGHS scheme; many of the major hospitals provide the same treatment at 10 times higher cost than ours.
