KARACHI: A 22-year-old female student at a local medical college was shot dead on Friday during an exchange of fire that broke out between the police and suspected robbers in the metropolis’ North Karachi locality. According to reports, police was chasing a gang of robbers fleeing the area after robbing a place. During the cross-fire, a passerby was hit a bullet which proved fatal as Nimrah died after reaching Jinnah Hospital. Police claim that the girl was hit with a bullet fired by the robbers. However, her uncle has demanded a post-mortem and forensic exam to ascertain if the girl was killed by robbers or police.
