Kausar Ali, a medical student arrested for uploading nude photographs of his estranged fiance on social media, was remanded in police custody by the Suri court in Bengal’s Birbhum district on Sunday. The victim, a resident of Fakir Para area in Suri town, about 200 km from Kolkata, lodged complaint with the local police on Friday. She alleged that Ali, a resident of the same neighbourhood, had been repeatedly posting her photographs on social media ever since he started avoiding her. Since Ali is a student of a medical college in Bhubaneswar the Suri police alerted several police stations. I was shocked to see these photos on his social media page.
