Then, 19-year old Josh Liendo Edwards (Markham) nabbed bronze in the 100m freestyle final, finishing just behind the 17-year old Romanian sensation David Popovici. Oleskiak was unable to claw back either countries in the final drag, so Canada settled for a bronze medal.
