Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela (8-6) earned the win despite allowing eight runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. McMahon then knocked in Murphy with a triple, and McMahon scored on a single by Wolters to make it 8-5. The Rockies tacked on two more runs in the inning on an error by Reds center fielder Nick Senzel and a run-scoring groundout by Senzatela. The Reds answered with their second four-run inning of the game to pull within a run. McMahon had a two-run double in the first inning and he came home on an RBI single by Wolters to make it 4-0.
