A Connecticut-based McDonald’s franchise is vowing to “welcome everyone” with new roadside signage that some are interpreting as a less-than-subtle dig at a Chick-fil-A that moved in next door. The McDonald’s restaurant in Glastonbury, Connecticut, reportedly unveiled the new sign about three weeks ago. The latest message to greet customers underneath the business’ Golden Arches logo reads, “We welcome everyone.”As NBC Connecticut reports, the sign has caused quite a stir among residents and on social media. Some believe the McDonald’s is sending a message to the neighboring Chick-fil-A franchise.
