CEBU CITY — Daanbantayan, Cebu, Mayor Vicente Loot sustained a gunshot wound in the leg after a gun accidentally discharged as he was about to leave the wake of a supporter on Wednesday night in Barangay Lanao, according to Senior Insp. “The mayor was on board the vehicle of retired police Insp. Jose Ducay around 8:40 p.m. when he sat on a gun which fired accidentally,” said Nalua. Loot was rushed to Daanbantayan District Hospital for treatment of a leg wound.
