OTTAWA — Maxime Bernier’s fundraising efforts are now proving far more successful than Kellie Leitch’s, according to the Conservative Party’s fourth-quarter financial reports. The fourth-quarter fundraising data show donors directed almost $2.8 million in Conservative Party support to specific candidates via 11,540 donations. In total, the party raised just over $4.8 million. Two candidates raised less than $100,000 — Quebec MP Steven Blaney, who registered at the beginning of November, gathered $92,398 from 635 donations. Fundraising results are not the only way to track how leadership candidates are doing.
