It’s just about time to put 2025 to bed and celebrate the start of a new year and there are several ways to mark the occasion in Waterloo region and Guelph. The cities are also planning free family friendly events on Wednesday. There will be free public ice skating on 2 ice pads, one with lights and a DJ, the other more geared to families. There will be free hot chocolate and ice skating on the rink in front of city hall. Waterloo6 p.m. to 9 p.m.Waterloo Town SquarePeople are invited to enjoy some outdoor skating, free hot apple cider, music and crafts.
