Former NBC “Today” show co-anchor Matt Lauer apologized Thursday after being fired for alleged sexual harassment but contested some accounts of his behavior, as more women come forward with accusations against the news star. Mr. Lauer, who co-anchored “Today” for more than 20 years, said in a statement there are “no words” to express the sorrow and regret for the pain he has caused.
