Dr Fred Matiang'i Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Interior & Coordination of National Government condemned violence witnessed during by election in Matungu and Nakuru. [Wilberforce Okwiri, Standard]Interior and National Coordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi has warned politicians against inciting Kenyans to political violence. Matiangi said politicians must respect Kenyans and avoid mobilising youths to cause chaos in funerals and other public functions. Speaking in Nyamira Sunday afternoon the CS defended police officers against claims made by a section of politicians that they had failed to take action against perpetrators of political violence in the just concluded by-elections. On Friday, March 5, Matiangi said all politicians involved in Political violence will have their firearm licences cancelled.
