Mataura man to resume work as Santa in ChristchurchJamie Searle/Stuff Brett Norager will soon be heading to Christchurch to work as Santa. Brett Norager lives at Mataura but from November 19 to December 24, he works as Santa Claus in Christchurch. Norager debuted as a professional santa in the Harvey Norman store in Ashburton in 2010 - "My daughter saw an ad in the paper [wanting a Santa]." In 2011, he was a Santa at the Riccarton Mall in Christchurch, Monday to Friday, with weekends at Harvey Norman in Ashburton. The 70-year-old, who has had a beard since his mid-20s, will work three hours daily at the mall.
