The total purse for the competition stands at $11.5 million (£8.72 million) - the same as it was last year. It makes it the second-most out of all the majors, sitting behind the US Open which is $12.5 million (£9.48 million). The winner of the Masters takes a sizeable chunk of that purse, earning $2.07 million (£1.57 million) by coming first. The Irishman earned $1.935 million (£1.47 million) after winning his first major, beating Tommy Fleetwood.
