Massachusetts teen beheaded classmate in jealous rage: prosecutor

A Massachusetts teenager stabbed his classmate, then beheaded him and hacked off his hands in a jealous rage, according to a prosecutor in the opening arguments of the victim's murder trial. The prosecutor, Jay Gubitose, said on Monday that Mathew Borges flew into a rage in 2016 when he saw his girlfriend sitting with Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino in the cafeteria of Lawrence High School. “The defendant was tough on the outside but insecure on the inside,” Gubitose said, according to the Boston Herald. Borges’ attorney, Edward Hayden, said that his client and his friends burglarized Viloria-Paulino’s home, but that Borges did not commit murder. A man who was walking his dog on December 1 found Viloria-Paulino’s decapitated body by the river.
