Mason Greenwood will not feature for England this summer (Photo by GARETH COPLEY/POOL/AFP via Getty Images)Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has withdrawn from England’s squad for this summer’s European Championships in order to recover from a ‘pre-existing’ injury. The teenager was named in the Three Lions’ provisional 33-man squad for the tournament after a fine end to the season with the Red Devils. Manchester United confirmed in a brief statement that the forward would return to the club to work on his recovery. Greenwood bagged eight goals in his final 14 appearances of the campaign, having managed just four in his previous 39. Greenwood made his Three Lions debut in a Nations League win against Iceland last summer but that remains his only cap to date.
