Two directors of the embattled Indian restaurant chain Masala have been found in contempt of court and ordered to pay $15,000 in fines after frustrating liquidator's attempts to retrieve company records. Joti Jain and Rajwinder Grewal were last year sentenced to home detention for their part in exploiting migrant workers at Masala restaurants. A further contempt of court application against Ravinder Kaur was dismissed. Although the three had since complied with the orders, with the exception of electronic documents yet to be produced by Jain, the contempt of court application was still pursued.
